Wrong-way driver

Safety is one of Sygic‘s main topics, and that‘s why we present a Wrong-way warning.

How does the feature works?
If you are driving in the opposite direction, we will warn you. A pop-up window will show on your navigation screen, and from there, you know that you need to be careful because you might are going the wrong way and may come to a car crash.

Furthermore, Sygic can detect a driver who is coming toward you. If someone else nearby is driving the highway in the opposite direction, Sygic also shows a notice about a hazardous driver. This slight improvement may save your life.

Sygic anonymized collects your position and checks whether you have entered an area of highway entrances and highway exits. If the driver reaches this area, Sygic starts sending data to their server, which forwards it to the Bosch server, a provider of the Wrong-way driver warning feature.
Please note that you need an internet connection to use this feature. Innovative technology minimizes the data required to get up-to-date information on your device.

Wrong-way driver feature is available in Sygic GPS Navigation for iOS and Android, version 22.2. or higher.
