Google is opening its Android Auto™ platform for 3rd party map & navigation developers to provide more choices to navigation users. As an early access partner, Sygic will be available on Android Auto in the coming months, after Google makes it available.
Thanks to Android Auto, drivers will soon be able to use Sygic GPS Navigation via the built-in display in their cars. Earlier this week, Google announced that new app categories, including GPS navigations, will be available on Android Auto later this year. Google also highlighted Sygic GPS Navigation as one of the most advanced GPS navigation apps for vehicles.
"We are thrilled that Sygic GPS Navigation will be available to our users on built-in displays in their cars with Android Auto connectivity," said Lukas Dermek, Head of Product.
Sygic as the most downloaded offline navigation app, used by more than 200 million drivers, will be compatible with all major car connectivities. Thanks to Android Auto™ connectivity, Sygic users will be able to drive safely without having to look at their phones.
