Sygic, the global navigation leader for over 25 years has introduced a new version of smart mobility addon - Dashcam for its flagship GPS navigation. The novelty introduces several new features including reworked user experience and design, sound recording and new settings for video quality and single clip duration.
„The add-on for our Sygic GPS Navigation provides peace of mind for everyone who doesn’t own hardware dash camera or is a frequent user of a car sharing and rental services. In case of an accident, you have the backup in your hands,“ said Sygic product manager Lukas Dermek.
The new version of Dashcam comes also with a variety of additional safety features, which includes Autosave on the crash, when the smartphone accelerometer detects high G-force event, Automatic recording triggered by car movement and Video overlay showing date, time, speed and street in the entry. The smart addon can also record the events in the background with smartphone displaying the navigation.
„Dashcam doesn’t require no additional hardware installations and gets the advantage of the high-end hardware, including accelerometer, camera sensor and accurate GPS module, which comes with your smartphone and is not present in most of the aftermarket standalone dash cameras,“ explained Dermek.
The version of Dashcam addon for Sygic GPS Navigation is available in the latest update for iOS and Android.
