Renew Sygic version 20.0.0 before upgrade Android 10!

The tenth major release and the 17th version of the Android mobile operating are growing up at 73% in the last 30 days. Sygic Professional Navigation is ready now for the Android 10 OS version.

We would like to inform you about very important news related to newly announced privacy changes within a new version of Google OS – Android 10 (API level 29), which may affect our navigation software and license.

Please install and run a new official version 20.0.0 (or newer) before upgrade to Android 10! Otherwise, your license won´t be transferred from origin identifier (IMEI, Serial nr.) to a newly used “Android_id” identifier.

New version 20.0.0 migrates files to app-specific sandbox directory.

All mobile applications that target Android 10 (API level 29) or higher can no longer access non-resettable device identifiers that could be used for tracking, including device IMEI, serial number, and similar identifiers.

Second of all, each application running on Android 10 has access only to the app-specific sandbox directory. Therefore new version 20.0.0 (or newer) migrates the existing Sygic folder to the sandbox directory. If you are accessing the Sygic folder, please contact your dedicated support or sales representative and discuss all the details.
