Good to know
The so-called “city of Gaudí” boasts a number of exquisite gems created by architect Antoni Gaudí. Start with Casa Battló that will strike you with its imposing wave-shaped facade and its organic elements. La Pedrera, another emblematic work of this renowned genius, resembles an open quarry thanks to its deformed and dynamic exterior. Park Güell is a sublime connection between Gaudí’s architecture and nature. It is home to the architect’s many creations including multi-coloured mosaic statues, twisting rock pillars, and a richly decorated terrace overlooking the area. Your visit to Barcelona would not be complete without seeing the city’s most famous church, Sagrada Família. While the great Pyramid of Giza was built in 20 years, Gaudí’s imposing masterpiece is being built since 1882 and is still not finished.
