The voice of professional truck drivers and caravan nomads using Sygic GPS Truck & Caravan Navigation has been listened to. Sygic launched one of the most desired features that improve the comfort and safety of using the navigation app in oversized vehicles – after Apple CarPlay support launch two months ago, and now it comes to Android Auto.
Pairing a mobile with a vehicle enables truck and caravan drivers to have seamless navigation connected to an infotainment system. "We're happy to share the fantastic news that brings simplification and comfort into life of our users, not depending on the operational system they have in their phones – Sygic GPS Truck & Caravan Navigation is the first navigation for large vehicles supporting both CarPlay and Android Auto, "says Roman Paulen, Chief Marketing Officer at Sygic.
By the end of 2023, Sygic rolled out on a CarPlay platform, and with the new year, integration with Android Auto is coming. The particular navigation, intended for trucks and other large vehicle types, including caravans, vans, and buses, considers vehicle dimensions, maximum speed, emissions, and HAZMAT cargo specifications for route calculation.
Unlike other navigations, Sygic works with offline maps, ensuring uninterrupted navigation even in areas with limited connectivity. This may be a huge benefit, especially for caravaners and truck drivers passing through unknown areas.
In one Premium package with speed limit notifications, up-to-date fuel prices, dynamic lane assistance, and dedicated points of interest like parking lots for large vehicles and campsites, Sygic now offers a lifetime Premium Truck license and a lifetime Premium Caravan license, both with mirroring via CarPlay or Android Auto.
