Thanks to MirrorLink® and InControl™ technologies, you can use Sygic Car Navigation from your smartphone right on the infotainment display in your car. However, different car manufacturers have different connectivity packages with different names and options, so which one to choose for your new car?
If you want to control your apps on a car display with the radio and steering wheel buttons in your new Volkswagen, you have to choose the VW Car-Net® App Connect package. For Skoda cars, you need to choose the Skoda SmartLink option and for Seat cars the Seat Full Link connectivity package is the right one for you. If you are driving a Peugeot or Citroën, you can ask your dealer for Mirror Screen as your in-car entertainment / communication package. All these connectivity packages include fully-featured MirrorLink® support in your new car. You can run Sygic Car Navigation or any other supported app right from your Android device and enjoy a rich experience with new apps on your car’s infotainment display.
Since the connectivity in Jaguar and Land Rover cars is based on InControl™ technology, you have to include the InControl™ connectivity option in your new car. In order to use this phone connectivity feature, you also need to install either the Jaguar InControl™ Apps or Land Rover InControl™ Apps. Once connected, the apps on your vehicle's touch screen will have the same look and feel as they do on your iPhone.
Many Android phones with MirrorLink® 1.1. from Samsung, HTC and Sony are supported. You can check out if your phone is on the list here: mirrorlink.com/phones
Note that for Jaguar and Land Rover cars, you have to use iPhones with iOS 8.0 and up.
Sygic Car Navigation is an app that works directly within your car’s infotainment system but also standalone in your phone. It is available with features like free lifetime map updates, live traffic information, speed cameras and more. All of your maps are downloaded to your phone, always up-to-date and without the need for a data connection or roaming.
